EcoCamp

Laurel Ridge is excited to offer its fourth week of EcoCamp in 2012! This camp is a week-long nature camp that gives junior campers special opportunities to explore and experience the beautiful corner of God’s creation that we call Laurel Ridge.
During EcoCamp we’ll focus on what scripture teaches us about our place in creation and how we care for it. Campers will spend time outside discovering the various ecosystems Laurel Ridge has (did you know there are at least 10?), learning about the history of the land, observing plants and animals, and much more. In 2011 EcoCampers got to tag birds, taste honey right from a beehive, see a draft horse pull a tree out of the woods, and more.
2012 Activities will include:
- star gazing
- backcountry hiking
- group storytelling
- time in the brand new Laurel Ridge Nature Center
- and time to enjoy all the learning, campfires, and cabin groups that make camp such a fun and memorable activity!
Don’t miss this exciting and unique program; registration is limited and 2011’s camp filled up so be sure to sign up today. EcoCamp will be led by the Reverends David Guthrie and Rick Sides.
